IGD is a special order: it is brought in on a 50-box minimum and not held in stock. Every vial label repeats the code and the batch number, so the certificate can be pulled from the label alone.

Each box of IGD comes from one batch, and that batch’s certificate carries the lines below before it is released. The limits are the release specification.
- Purity. Not less than 98.0 percent by RP-HPLC, area normalisation at 220 nm, with the main peak named on the chromatogram.
- Identity. Retention time by RP-HPLC against the reference standard, confirmed by ESI-MS. The spectrometer should place the protonated molecule at m/z 7366.4 for 1+, m/z 3683.7 for 2+, m/z 2456.2 for 3+, m/z 1842.4 for 4+, m/z 1474.1 for 5+, m/z 1228.6 for 6+, against a calculated average mass of 7365.4 (C319H495N91O96S7); the measured mass should agree to within a unit.
- Related substances. Any single related substance not more than 1.0 percent.
- Water. Not more than 8.0 percent by Karl Fischer.
- Fill. Labelled peptide content per vial, plus or minus 5 percent by weight.
- Endotoxin. Reported on the certificate by LAL where the line is tested.
- Batch, dates, signature. The batch number as printed on the vial label and the packing list, the date of manufacture, the retest date (24 months from manufacture at minus 20 degrees Celsius, retest date on every certificate), and the release signature.
